Comedy is a kind of show that uses to make people laugh. Comedy is one of my favorite types of T.V. show. I usually watch it in my free time. So, I’ve seen many Thai comedies. But when I watch British comedy, it makes me know that there’re lots of styles of comedy that I’ve never seen. They make fun about things that I never think it is fun. Some of them can make me laugh but some of them I think that isn’t look like a joke but British people like them very much, why?
People in different country are making joke that make people in their country laugh. If you listen to other countries joke you might not laugh because in different country has different culture and people make joke about their culture so, you might not understand it and think it’s bad joke. For example in Britain you can make joke about king and queen but in Thailand if you do that you will have a problem.
In different country has different opinion about making joke. British people think joke that make people laugh at people whose disabilities and joke about sexism and racism are very bad. People can tell joke about their life and make people laugh with them but cannot tell joke that make people laugh at other people. But in Thailand, lots of comedy shows use disables people to make people laugh. They say bad thing about them or tell them to do stupid thing and people think this is funny.
If you compare British comedy to Thai comedy, you’ll see that British comedies have many styles. They use many different ways to make joke and they change it often little by little. Because they think new style of comedy is better than the old one. But Thai comedies usually make at same style because they think if they change people might not like it and there is no company want to be their sponsor.
British people spend lots of money to make interesting comedy. If you see their comedy they usually change scene and setting every two or three minutes. That’s make people not bored but it cost lots of money. Because they have to pay for new setting, editing, costume etc. but Thai comedies always use same setting but they try to make dialogue exciting so, people will not be bored. But not many shows can do that.
Comedies in different country are made in different way. If you watch other countries comedy you might think it isn’t funny or think it’s rude but people in that country think it is fun. On the other hand, people in other country might think comedy in your country is bad. But that’s normal thing, people in different country have different culture and different opinion. In our word jokes are made in many ways. I believe that now when you’re reading my essay someone in our world are making joke about something that no one ever think it’s fun.
